Missouri Walk of Fame

The Missouri Walk of Fame was founded in 2006. The Walk of Fame honors six famous Missourians each year with a star that is placed in the sidewalk in the historic downtown district. The Cherry Blossom Festival committee is responsible for selecting a new group of honorees each year to receive stars on the walk of fame. New recipients are announced each spring for the annual ceremony.  In order for a person to receive a star on the Walk of Fame, he or she must agree to attend a presentation ceremony or send a representative on their behalf. In the event of a posthumous honor, the honoree must be represented by a living family member or colleague.

A Walk of Fame induction ceremony is held each April during the scheduled events of the Cherry Blossom Festival.  The walk begins in front of the Webster County Museum and proceeds down Clay Street.

All inductees must have either been born in or lived in the state of Missouri or have contributed significantly to the greater good of the Show-Me State.
