We are so looking forward to this year’s festival.  We have a stellar list of VIP guests who are already confirmed as coming and expect to add even more in the coming weeks.

Mary Eisenhower (granddaughter of President Dwight Eisenhower) was the first VIP guest to confirm attendance at the 2019 Cherry Blossom Festival here in Marshfield, MO. Mary is a patron of the festival and has been a frequent guest for many years.

Lynne Jackson (great, great granddaughter of Dred Scott) is a longtime festival attendee and is a former recipient of the Edwin P. Hubble Medal of Initiative.

Marie Clinton Bruno (cousin of President Bill Clinton) has been a longtime festival visitor and supporter.

Geraldine Hawkins will be a 2019 recipient of the Ella Dickey Literacy award during the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival for her book, “Elliott and Eleanor: The Story of a Father and His Daughter in the Gilded Age.”  Geraldine has served as an historical interpreter at the Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill, and the Vanderbilt Mansion (all in Hyde Park, New York); Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace, the Statue of Liberty, and the African Burial Ground National Monument in New York City; and at John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site and Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House in Massachusetts.

Chef Roland Mesnier, former White House Chef will be in attendance this year.

Richard LaMotte is a festival favorite and will moderate a panel this year on the “Legends of Television and Screen.”

Jack Massee McKinley (great, great nephew of President William McKinley) will be the first visit by a McKinley family member to the festival.

Clifton Truman Daniel (grandson of President Harry S Truman) will portray his late grandfather in a one man production on Thursday, April 25th. Additional information (location, ticket prices, etc) will be forthcoming.

Dr. Larry Cook is a Presidential historian and this will be his third visit to the festival.

Ed Asner (Lou Grant, The Mary Tyler Moore Show) will be honored with a star on the Missouri Walk of Fame.

Karolyn Grimes (Zuzu, It’s a Wonderful Life) has been a longtime supporter of the festival and is a favorite among festival visitors!!

Linda Kaye Henning (Betty Jo, Petticoat Junction will represent her late father, Paul Henning who will be honored with a star on the Missouri Walk of Fame.

Margaret Kerry (Disney’s model for Tinkerbell) is a former recipient of the Edwin P. Hubble Medal of Initiative and this will be her fourth visit to the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Reagan Inman petitioned Richard Thomas (John Boy Walton) to come to Marshfield for the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival in 2014.  In November 2018 she announced that Richard Thomas was scheduled to come for 2019!

Richard Thomas & Tammi Bula (The Waltons) Will be attending.  This will be Richard Thomas’ first visit to the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival.

Tammi Bula (The Waltons) will be attending the festival for the second time.

Judy Norton (Mary Ellen, The Waltons) will be coming for her third visit to the festival.

Michael Learned (Olivia Walton, The Waltons), a four-time Emmy Award-winning actress, will be among the VIP guests at the 2019 Cherry Blossom Festival here in Marshfield, Missouri for our Walton/Little House on the Prairie Reunion.

Mary McDonough (Erin, The Waltons) has been a frequent visitor to the festival and we look forward to her return visit!

Kami Cotler (Elizabeth, The Waltons) has been a longtime supporter of the festival and is a favorite among festival guests.

Ginger Alden, fiancée of Elvis Presley will be joining the festival for the 2nd year in a row.

Dorinda Nicholson (Pearl Harbor child) is a former recipient of the Ella Dickey Literacy award and will be a participant at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival!

Chris Noel will be a 2019 recipient of the Ella Dickey Literacy Award on Thursday, April 25th at the Marshfield Assembly of God. This will be her first visit to the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Jeanine Roose (Young Violet, It’s a Wonderful Life), a 2017 honoree of the Edwin P. Hubble Medal of Initiative will also be attending for the third time

Miss Beadle was the character portrayed by Charlotte Stewart on Little House on the Prairie.

Charlotte Stewart, America’s favorite one-room schoolhouse teacher, will once again be in attendance for this year’s festival.

Nellie Oleson was portrayed by Alison Arngrim on Little House on the Prairie.

Alison Arngrim, who portrayed the little girl that everyone loved to hate, is a festival favorite.

Dean Butler (Almanzo, Little House on the Prairie) will be appearing for the third time at the Cherry Blossom Festival.
